The Earthenware Ceramics in Environment
The low cost clay based Ceramic Engineering material is made out of simple clay pot and a plastic bucket. The pots are manufactured out of local clay and the local labour. The local clay is mixed with saw dust and impregnated with colloidal silver. When the pot is fired the burning out saw dust leaves a net work of fine pores generating a capillary system through which the water is getting filtered.
The impregnated colloidal silver kills the bacteria and the E.coli. The purified water is collected in the bucket provided under the pot. Silver is known for its antibacterial property from our ancient fore- father’s time.
