Titania Powder Preparation

Barium Titanate Powder:

Complex Precursor Method:

Barium titanyl oxalate is pyrolysed at about 600 to 700.C to form Barium Titanate Powder. The reaction of precursor formation can be summarized as follows :
BaCl2 + TiCl4 + 2H2C2O4 + 5H2O —> BaTiO(C2O4)2 . 4H2O + 6HCl
Here Barium Chloride, Titanium Chlorate and Oxalic acid act as starting materials.

This process yields a super fine micro crystalline powder of very pure form.
