Barium Titanate Powder:
Alkoxide Process
(2) The second methods involves Gel Technique preparation route. In the solvent Ethanol Ba(OC2H5)2 and Ti(OC2H5)4 are mixed. The temperature is maintained below -40.C. In this condition an alcoholic water solution is added by slowly heating the entire mixture with continuous stirring.
The process continues with heating and stirring for an hour. A gel is formed and to maintain the homogeneity dry inert to gas is constantly passed through the mixture. The mixture is heated further to a temperature of 725.C to form crystals of Barium Titanate. The Barium Titanate crystal powder formed is very pure in nature and the particle size is about 40 nm.
