The following methods are widely used for the preparation of Barium Titanate Powder:

- Hydro Thermal Synthesis Process
Alkoxide Process
(1) In the solvent like Isoproponal or Benzene, Barium bi Isopropoxide and Titanium-tetrakistertiary amyloxide are dissolved. The solution is further decomposed hydrolytically at room temperature in carbon-di-oxide free atmosphere. During this process a homogeneous pure Barium Titanate Powder is formed.
This is further dried in a dry Helium atmosphere at 50.C for about 12 hours. During the course of operation crystalline Barium Titanate Powder of very pure nano size particle are formed.
This process is more expensive and not suitable for commercial production.
