Dry Milling Process : The attritor dry grinding works in a condition described as Kinematic porosity. This is achieved by the expanded moving bed of grinding media. The dry particles are subjected to various forces like rotational, tumbling, impact and shear. All these forces helps to achieve micron size fine powders very easily and also to achieve spherical particle shape which is very important in the manufacturing of advanced ceramics material.

The process can be either batch grinding or continuous grinding. Batch grinding is preferred when the material requires longer residence time and for getting finest particle size with tighter particle size distribution. This batch grinding process also helps to get controlled milling atmosphere. The grinding can be carried over under an oxygen free atmosphere with specially designed and sealed containers.
