The change in labour availability situations, arrival of too many foreign ceramic manufacturing companies in India, the growing pollution awareness among all classes of people, and the quality & price war among all the ceramic manufacturers places tremondous pressure on the ceramic manufacturers. It is highly imperative for them to change their methodology of operations for cost effectiveness.
Until recently, most of the ceramic manufacturers in India did not bother about buying their Ball Clay with moisture and impurities from distant locations since they were able to afford the freight costs. Now, freight costs are also going up day by day due to escalation in the fuel prices. These Ceramic manufacturers who bring their Ball Clay with very high moisture and impurities ( During processing the loss will be approximately 15% to 20% ) are paying additional freight costs.
