As of today most of the Ceramic Industries in India buy Ball Clay of different varieties from different sources and they internally process and blend the Ball Clay in different proportions according to their Body Formulation requirements. Hence the blend Formulation differs from factory to factory and it is kept as a closely guarded trade secret.
In India Ball Clay is available in Gujarat, Rajastan, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, and other parts. However, Ball clay available in Gujarat, Rajastan and Andhra Pradesh is very famous and most of the Indian Ceramic manufacturers prefer to use the Clay from these three places only.
