In the DRY PROCESS method, Clay from the stock yard is shifted through belt conveyors. During movement in the conveyors, unwanted impurities are removed manually by visual inspection. The Clay from the conveyor is loaded into disintegrators/pulverizers where the clay gets reduced into smaller size granules and the crushed material is shifted to silos where according to the variety, the Clay is stored in different silos.
As per the blend combination requirement, the clay from different silos are taken out and mixed in a dry blending machine and then bagged and stored. After this the material is shifted to the end users. To avoid dust pollution normally about 10% to 15% moisture is maintained in the processed clays.
