“CERAMICS” — What is the origin and who invented this magical material?
Ceramics has a divine origin - Yes as per Hindu mythology lord ‘Shiva’, the ruler of the world created human beings with clay (earthy material). Hence he has the name ‘KHUMBAR’ (The Creator).Even now, in the villages of India, the section of people who create clay vessels are called by the name - ‘KHUMBAR’.
He, The Creator of the Universe, used all the five basic elements of the universe - Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Space to create his first ceramic material - The Human Being. He mixed Clay (earthy material) with water, shaped and baked the material by using fire and air in Space. The first ceramic object in the universe came in to existence created by the Lord - the creator of the universe. Hence till this date we dont have any other equivalent material in the world to compete with it.

Rightly you said that there is no other material on earth inter woven with the mankind / usage other than clay.The art of clay bring down us more nearer.It is good that your website may enlighten every one to acquire basic knowledge from the scratch to end product about Ceramics.
